I like the fact that they are much brighter then the factory lights that came on my RV.
There was no way to mount these on my RV. The mounting bolts were built attached and facing to the rear. Normally RV tail lights are 2 piece a lense the is remove than the base is screwed to the RV body than the lense is installed over the base. The lense need to be made to be remove to mount the base and allow access to the bulb or LED fixtures. I liked the lamps and there are nice looking units.
This would not install on our camper. The housing/mounting bracket does not separate from the red light cover portion. As others have mentioned here this would only be viable for trailers where you can reach around to the back and tighten the bolts down. (Only reason for the one star rating is the lack of instruction here.)
No deal from the start. This mounts with 2 permanently affixed through bolts. That requires access to the back side of your mounting surface. Many RV have sandwiched foam walls, you affix a base with screws (before or after connecting wiring) and affix the colored light cover after.
The lights were a bit smaller than the old ones so had to drill new holes and change the position to cover the wire hole. Also the tabs on the base for the lense are so tight I broke one on each side trying to get them off the base to reposition them so basically ruined both the lights. Have to use tape to hold them on now. Other than that they are bright and work well.
