Is as advertised
Works as should.
A little misleading, it is not an LED light fixture. It is a new fixture with a 12volt LED bulb
Prefect exactly as described!!...
Original unit was sun damaged. No longer was clear and light was very dim. This unit is great. Exact replacement in size and bright!
Great product - just what I needed as the old one was very ugly (worn). The "spruced up" the front of our RV
Works
After ten years the original stopped working with a wire related defect. I removed it and found this one which appeared to be identical to the original (and was).Replacement is straightforward. Remove old unit and clean off the RTV that sealed the light to the chassis of the RV. I then removed the lens and sealed the metal plate with RTV, let that cure then attached the unit with the original screws (replacements were provided). I then replaced the LED that came with it with a more powerful one, and reinstalled the lens. Finally,I ran a bead of RTV around the whole thing to complete the seal. The price was good, and the unit matches the original. With the upgraded bulb the unit is far brighter for nighttime hook ups. The white color matches the RV color around it.I took off one star since no sealing gaskets were provided but that was not a deal breaker.
If you need the lenses for your RV like I did - it's a good buy. But if you need the fixture, not so much. The LED lightbulb included is so chintzy that it fell apart before I even touched it.
Exact fit works great.
Matched broken one and screws fit same holes
Perfect replacement of my camper just bright enough without being to bright.
Burns out on couple of uses
Much needed upgrade for my used travel trailer. I haven’t installed the full product since my original awning porch light hardware still works. But I did use the clear replacement lenses and led bulbs included in this replacement kit. And, it provided so much more additional light at night time.
I just received the Lumitronics RV 12V LED Oval Porch Utility Light with On/Off Switch. I am returning it. The design and construction is terrible and will lead to failures in a very quickly. This is due to the way the plastic outer rim attaches to the very thin metal, sharp edged, back plate. It is held on by very small/narrow plastic tabs. Every time you remove the light fixture to change a bulb or lense, the outer plastic tabs will degrade and eventually fail.Being that this is such a simple and obvious design flaw, I must assume that it is completely intentional. Products made to fail lead to future replacement sales.Another design flaw that a buyer should be aware of. This unit is NOT water or dust resistant. The only way to preserve this fixture is to re-calk after every bulb change.
Bright and fairly easy to install matches the step. Functional and size is ideal
Perfect fit shines bright good value
Perfect
The light is water resistant and replaced a broken light cover it looks the same as the original and the quality is good
The light works well. However it did not fit where the old one was. So I had to drill new holes in the wall of my RV. Due to the extended back of the fixture protruding beyond the back wall plate. It required a minor adjustment which was a bit disappointing. But I did get it installed and working.
Had same mounting holes as old light
This product is good and fits the original light location and size
Perfect for my replacement needs. Fit was exact, good quality. Would buy again.
The back and switch where not capable of keeping moisture outI had to seal it all with a water proof caulk
Way smaller than depicted
Exactly what I ordered and Exactly what I wanted.
Fast shipping and part as described!!!
The product is fine. I should have bought the model with the switch. My bad.
This is nearly an identical replacement for the existing light that was on my camper, which had broken. Here are the two things that are wrong with it:1. The wires come out the backside of the unit all the way to the right. The hole in the camper is dead center to accommodate most other porch lights. I had to re-route the wires and modify the case.2. See the photo. Because they use a bulb, the light is not distributed evenly and the right side looks completely dark. Bad design. My old light had a bank of LEDs on a circuit board all the way across it. Bad design choice here. :(I normally applaud the ability to remove the bulb. In this case, it works against us. I would NOT buy this unit again, and if I do buy a replacement, I'll know what to look for.
